“Greetings Avacal and MontengardeI address you today to make it publicly known that I’ve made the difficult decision to step down as Baroness. As some of you know, I’ve been facing several mundane challenges and as the demand for my time and energy to attend to these things increases, I’ve to make difficult choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“To my Serjeants, thank you for your ongoing dedication and demonstration of what this role truly means. I know whatever comes next, each and every one of you will protect and serve our home and whoever sits in those chairs. I release you of any oath you had to me and hold you to the oath s you have to your Barony. I know you’ll continue to serve in a manner befitting the title you’ve earned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“To our Champions, thank you for serving and defending us and our Barony. It has been a pleasure to stand with you and serve the ideals of Montengarde together.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“To my family, both SCA and mundane. I could not have faced the challenges or done the things I have done without you. Your continued support means more to me than you can ever know. I love you all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“To all of you, I want to say that I’ve loved serving as your Baroness. I want to thank each and every one of you who has been such a key part of my term. To the countless hours of service provided by our Council, our Populace, our Champions, and our Friends. There’s no words to express how your gifts have enriched our home and my time as Baroness. Thank you to each and every one of you.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“And finally to my Baron, my friend and my teacher. Sitting at your side, getting to know you as I have and sharing these responsibilities will always be one of the defining highlights of my life. I can never express how proud or thankful I am that you wanted to rule with me. You and the Barony deserve a partner that can give their all and I cannot commit to this right now.\u00a0 Thank you for everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
