A&S Championship Declared for 12th<\/sup> Night 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let it be know that when we gather for 12th<\/sup> Night (January 14, 2023) there shall be a great Tournament to determine the new Montengarde A&S Champion!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have greatly enjoyed my time as the Emerald Rose and can\u2019t wait to pass it on to the next person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No membership is required to enter, only a willingness to champion the Arts & Sciences as best you can and to find a successor when your time is done. In recognition of our close history with the shires of Ayresgarde and Windwyrm, we would open the lists to include them as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The theme for this year\u2019s championship is \u201cCelebrate Montengarde\u201d. All those vying will be required to enter two items. One of personal choice and one of which must include Montengarde\u2019s colours (Black, Yellow & Pink). Both pieces will be presented to the judges at the 12th<\/sup> Night Event, documentation required and displays are encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those of you who would like to vie, please contact Isabelle Bassett (champion-as@montengarde.org<\/a>) no later then December 1st<\/sup>, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Short description of your pieces to determine judges are due December 15th<\/sup>, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Documentation will be due January 7th<\/sup>, 2023, to allow judges time to review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Late entries will be allowed on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rapier Championship at 12th Night<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Tournament for Montengarde’s Dragon Blade (Baronial rapier champion) will be held at 12th Night, for the first time in three years. Bring your best fight to vie for Champion, or test the mettle of those who would represent our Barony. An inspiration is not required to vie, but it is encouraged. Tournament format will be determined closer to the day, depending on the size of the list, but be prepared to bring your best fights, and at least two fighting styles. If you are interested in vying for the Rapier Championship, please speak to Baron Blue prior to 12th Night to discuss the requirements and expectations of a champion, and to declare your intentions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
